Partnerships for Success are well underway with a historic signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Coastal Aboriginal Shipbuilding Association (CASA), Seaspan Marine, Meridian Marine, and Aggressive Tube bending Inc.
The MOU was signed by the Board Members of each CASA partner, and the presidents/CEO of each CASA partner on April 24th at Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre.
CASA, a partnership between the First Nations Employment Society (FNES), Coast Salish Employment and Training Society (CSETS), and Aboriginal Community Career Employment Service Society (ACCESS), is dedicated to creating career opportunities for persons of First Nations descent within the Shipbuilding Industry for the west coast region of British Columbia.
CASA project proponents, FNES, would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support of this important event. FNES is extremely pleased with the outcome and positive that the development of relationships such as the MOU signing will lead to career opportunities for their clients in the greater maritime industry.
